Transport with a difference was arranged for Peter and Jennifer Parkinson after their wedding at St. Mary's. Vintage cars, driven from Rotorua and in immaculate condition, were used and the bridal couple are seen entering one of the vehicles after the ceremony.

Recently celebrating her 94th birthday was Mrs Blanche McDonald, widow of Mr J. A. McDonald, Borough Council engineer from 1919 to 1923. Mayor Harry Barker called on Mrs McDonald as did Mr H. C. Williams, the present engineer.

Ross and Sharon Bodle, Wainui, continue to do well with their folk singing. The only entrants to be accepted from the Gisborne district in the Mobil Song Quest, they have also been doing radio broadcasts recently.

On the move at the I. E. Jones household, at 4 Vivienne St., are Douglas who is off to work in Bunbury, 120 miles south of Perth, Western Australia, for the 'varsity holidays, and Jimmy Atkinson, Rotary Exchange Student, who leaves the family who have been his hosts during the first three months of his stay in Gisborne. Mr and Mrs Jones and daughters Diana and Elizabeth complete the picture.
