Art Society and Museum

The three valuable greenstone meres loaned recently to the museum are pictured here. Mr P. Brewster is holding "Raumoa", the history of which has been traced back to 1825; Mr R. Graham has "Taupara" (1650) and Mr A. Paterson has "Whakauki" (1625).

An interesting brass and china candlestick, and a brass tray, are part of a collection from Palestine at present in the museum. The candlestick is 200 years old.
