Beautiful Handi work

The Poverty Bay Relief Society of the L.D.S. Church, under the leadership of Mrs Mereana Whaanga, held a quilt making project recently. Forty beautiful quilts, made by members of the group, were displayed at the L.D.S. centre in Stout Street and will be used to help those in need. Society members, whose motto is "Charity Never Faileth", undertake a project each month, their handiwork being given for relief purposes.
