Amateur Boxing

The Gisborne Boxing Association's July tournament was held in the R.S.A. Hall before a good crowd. The disappointment of the evening was the defeat of two of the district's promising young boxers, David Grant and Bill Byrne, in the second and third rounds of their bouts respectively.
