Introducing

....Alister Hastie, father of three, of 506 Palmerston Road, is Gisborne branch manager of Dominion Contractors, flooring and roofing specialists. A keen hockey player for the Kiwi Club, he came to Gisborne from Palmerston North six years ago.

....Ian Harris, Basil Adair, and Mike Mulrooney are the staff of Charlie Adair's menswear store. A keen follower of motor racing, Ian is an honorary member of a U.S.A. drag-strip club. He also enjoys slot-car racing, pop music, and photography, and lives at 108 Stafford Street. Basil is managing director of the firm, was recently installed as Rangatira of the Savage Club, and enjoys boating and trout fishing at Waikaremoana. He has one son, and two grandchildren, and lives at 151 Stout Street. Mike, who was expecting to become a "dad" for the second time when we visited him, lives at 553 Wainui Road. Vice-captain of the Riverina soccer team, he has represented Poverty Bay. His other interests included slot-car racing and model building.

....Tom Troy and Terry Drummond are carpenters for P. J. Drummond, and are at present engaged in building the new Lows Flats in upper Gladstone Road. Tom, of 13 Bloomfield Road, was educated at Edmund Campion College, follows rugby, and enjoys tramping and miniature rifle shooting. Terry has been an active member of local youth organisations, such as Operation 21, and in the summer, rides his surf board. He was educated at Lytton High and lives at 45 Ranfurly Street.

....Ngaire Hay and Ian Dunsmore staff the record and sportsgoods departments of Chrisps. Married three years ago, Ngaire lives at 16 Birrell Street, and includes in her interests modern music and knitting. Recently married, Ian lives at Park Place flats, Aberdeen Road. He takes a keen interest in all sports, having represented Poverty Bay at soccer, cricket, and athletic field events.
