The "ball and chain" applied not only figuratively but literally as well when some of the boys got together and saddled David Grigg with this attachment after his wedding to Maxine Carrel of Tolaga Bay recently.

Sporting her Emma Peel outfit is Vicki Thomas, daughter of Roger and Barbara Thomas, 47 Lyndhurst Street. Mum made up the dress and cap and Vicki takes up a typical Peel stance to show off the very swinging outfit.

Things have been swinging along at the Penthouse of latter weeks with two outside bands taking over the music making. The locals say the music is great and The Rage (left) and The Fruit (below left), are seen in action providing the rhythm.

From Barry McGregor in Christchurch comes this pic of two Gisborne boys, Basil Sharp and John Wilson, who participated in the cow milking contest during capping week. Along with eight other Lincoln College students the boys broke the world record by obtaining 14 gallons of milk in three minutes and 20 seconds. The record was previously held by the University of Denver. U.S.A.
