Vintage Cars Are Their Hobby

Interest in vintage cars has been stimulated in the Gisborne district by several members of the N.Z.V.C.C., who have banded together to enjoy their common interest.

In addition to two 1926-27 Morris Commercial trucks which the club owns, the members are busy restoring vehicles of their own.

Their aim is to take part in a rally here in October with H.B. members, and in the Cook Bicentennial Celebrations in 1969.

They are at present compiling a parts department which can be called upon by any member restoring a vehicle, and for this purpose are keen to gain information on old cars, parts, manuals, and magazines which could be made available to them.

Secretary Myles Walters (phone 7727) would also be interested to hear from any other enthusiasts.
