In this graphic newspicture taken by Gisborne Photo News photographer John Logan at a stampede carnival in 1964, a stuntman on a motorcycle comes bursting through the flaming hoop. He looks to be a mass of flame, but in fact concluded his hazardous act almost unscathed.
