Many Years Young

The passing of time hasn't worried our celebrants on this page at all - they all say that you're only as old as you feel.

All the family is in attendance and surrounding the guests of honour are their sons and daughters. Olga (Mrs Holmes), Cyril, Ngaire (Mrs Redding), Allan, Taradale, Evelyn (Mrs English), Graham, Palmerston North, Vera (Mrs Ashton) and Lyla (Mrs Richards).

Telegrams from Mrs Esme Tombleson, M.P., and the Prime Minister were among those received.

Looking a lot younger than her age, Miss Sherrif cuts her birthday cake at tea.

Celebrating their golden wedding with a family party are Mr and Mrs H. J. Masemann of Hauroa Road.

Mr and Mrs H. E. Tapping are also celebrating their golden wedding and they are pictured in the garden of their home at 27 Centennial Crescent.

Dunblane is the scene of a happy party as Miss C. H. Sherrif celebrated her 99th birthday.
