Airforce Re-Union.

The annual reunion of the 1914-18 Airforce Ass. was held in Gisborne this year. A buffet dinner on the Friday evening, sightseeing trips on the Saturday and a memorial service on the Sunday morning were some of the events of the weekend of March 10-12.

Among those attending: Messrs L. L. C. Field, K. C. Caldwell, H. L. Bayly, N.Z. Association president G. A. Nicholls, past president R. J. Sinclair, the retired Chief of Air Staff, Sir Leonard Isitt.

Comet Retain Bodle Shield.

Winning the event for the fourth time in succession, the Comet Swimming Club retained the Bodle Shield. With a total of 132 points, they were well ahead of the vastly improved Wairoa team which gained 89 points. Comet Club captain, Estelle Mulligan (above) receives the shield from the donor, Mr H. M. Bodle.

A feature of the day was the water polo match in which Gisborne proved too much for the less experienced Wairoa. Gary Thompson (right) gains the 7th of the 10 points Gisborne scored to Wairoa's one.
