Ride 'Em Cowboy

A showery afternoon did nothing to dampen the spirits of riders or spectators at the Rodeo Association's annual meeting at the showgrounds, December 31.

Colourful and exciting, the event provided plenty of thrills for everyone.

To run a rodeo successfully there is a tremendous amount of organisation necessary, not the least of which is a good supply of horses and men to get them ready for the riders.

The horses are yarded (above), then boxed one at a time (below) where they can be safely saddled (right) before going into the shute for the rider.
