Aussie Visitor

After spending three weeks touring New Zealand as her prize for winning the Miss Darling Downs contest, Miss Lynnette King from Elbow Creek, Warwick, 100 miles S. E. of Brisbane, stayed in Gisborne for a week. Public Relations Officer John Burland arranged visits for her to the International Polo match and also the International Surf Carnival. With them as Lynnette receives some Gisborne booklets are her mother, Mrs J. King, and surfing and polo reps John McLean and Sholto Matthews respectively.
