Thirty-five members of the Gisborne Hard of Hearing League spent time recently on a social trip to their counterparts in Tauranga. Ten of the members who made the trip are Mesdames F. Jones, C. Percy, secretary K. W. Harrison, B. M. Wells, lip reading tutor F. M. Bauld, T. H. McLatchie, S. Lister, Miss W. Fenton, and Mesdames R. Hayward and E. Lentell.

The dresses come in a variety of styles and colours and this one of Kathryn's is in orange and magenta separated by thin stripes of white.

Kathryn Cooper, 20, of 284 Ormond Road was the recipient recently of this "paper" dress from the United States. Originating under the trade name of Kaycel the fabric is composed of 93% cellulose and 7% nylon and is fire and water resistant.

Three boys who also enjoyed a happy day at the Turanga Branch of the Gisborne Pony Club's day out for crippled children are Harry Haenga, Jimmy Reihana and Douglas Snowden.
