Our Cover

The wonderful surf of Gisborne beaches, which attracts thousands of holiday-makers during the year, is matched only by the wonderful girls who abound on the shore and in the water.

Diane Cleaver, 17, daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Cleaver, 32 Waverly Street, is one of the many girls who enhance our beaches.

Diane works in an accounting office in town and her hobbies are surfing (naturally) and dancing.

Back Cover. Unity Theatre's Christmas Pantomime this year (Opera House December 10), is the fabulous rags to riches story of Cinderella, a real doll. However, she has to go through the considerable agony of putting up with a couple of ugly sisters before finally finding 'or' appiness.

Coping successfully as the ugly sisters, Tutti and Fratti, are Norman Maclean (sitting) and Bruce Pidgeon who are doing a bit of practice in "coach" travelling before the night of the ball.
