Gun powder, treason and plot, etc. And everyone did just that when the annual Guy Fawkes celebrations took place around town, giving the enjoyment that children usually get from the event.

Radio station 2XG ran competitions for the best guy and for the child best dressed as a guy, and the Jaycees provided a 40ft fire, fireworks and ice creams for the children of the Heni Materoa Home.
