The absence of the building affords a breathing space at the end of town and a very nice view of Kaiti Hill (and the memorial - whatever form that may take). A green sward here on the Post Office site without those power poles, without flowerbeds, but with a few freeform seats at this end and a medium-sized continental style bronze fountain off centre but nearer the courthouse to complement it would make this an ideal oasis from the summer heat. What did you say?
