The new sea-wall at Tokomaru Bay is now well under construction. An ingenious saw for cutting the papa rock made by Mr Jack Andrews, one of the contractors, facilitates the placing of the foundations. Mounted on a tractor, the saw cuts a slot in the solid papa into which the steel reinforced blocks are cemented.
