The regional conference of the Bay of Plenty Jaycees was held for the first time in Opotiki recently. A feature of the conference was the presentation to the Dominion president of a ceremonial Maori cloak for the use of the delegate to world conferences.
Mr M. Hata places the cloak on the shoulders of the Dominion president, Mr J. Jack of Dunedin.
Entertainment at the gathering is provided by the Ngapotiki Youth Club.
