Omission: On page 48 the young folk at the top of the page are Sharon Baddley, Colleen Malone, Stephen Metcalfe, Albert McFarlane and Roger Clark. They are pupils at the Intermediate school and are depositing their pass-books in the P.O.S.B. collection box.

At Waipukurau they won the East Coast Council's Y.F.C. cup for stock judging, and at Roxburgh Richard Parker won the Romney and Hack classes, Peter Pringle gained 2nd in the Chiller Beef, while Dennis Bartram was 3rd in the Romney class.

At a presentation ceremony held recently by the Turanganui Guide Co., Raewyn Green, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Green, 36 Mill Road, was presented with her Queen's Guide Badge by Miss W. O'Halloran, Divisional Commissioner for Gisborne. They are pictured below left, while at right are Sheryl Green, Yvonne Fraser and Janet MacDiarmid who won National Heritage Challenge Badges in that contest which was held recently.
