The possibility of a Dutch Company formulating a plan for the establishment of a maize products industry in Gisborne was announced by the M.P. for the district, Mrs Esme Tombleson, at a meeting of the Gisborne Industrial Promotion Council. The overall plan provides for the use of 18,000 tons of maize annually for the production of over 16,000 tons of maize products.
