Two members of the highly successful Waikanae Surf Life Saving team are Roger (left) and Jim McLean. Roger, a Ph.D. of McGill University, Montreal, is lecturing at Canterbury University while Jim who has just completed his B.A. will study at Canterbury for another year.

Kay Macdonald, youngest daughter of Mrs P. J. Anderson, 52 Oak Street, is on a three-month tour of Australia. Previously a member of the professional nursing staff of the Oakley Hospital, Auckland, and then on the Gisborne telephone exchange, Kay now works at the Auckland exchange.

From Capt. S. A. Medland, Te Araroa, comes this pic of Moetu Te Purei who is this year's Head Prefect and Head Girl at the Rerekohu District High School.

With 12,712 miles separating them from here, this young Gisborne couple, John and Glynn Willan, formerly of Palmerston Road, are a long way from home. At present employed in London the couple are on a working holiday of England and the Continent but intend returning to N.Z. in December.

Michael Bugden, son of Mrs A. Bugden, Collins Street, and the late Mr L. Bugden, has been transferred to Fiji where he will work for the National Cash Register Co.
