Desmond Young, eldest son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Young, Matawai, has left Gisborne for a working holiday in the South Island.

Wally, Jane and baby Gillian Mailman who used to be in Tokomaru Bay are now living in Augathella, Queensland. Well-known in the buck-jumping world in this district Wally is now judging rodeos in Australia.

Sent to us by Mrs G. Campbell, who is postmistress at Patutahi, this picture shows her with her father who came over from Australia and whom she had not seen for 40 years.

Scooping all before him at the Intermediate School sports last year, 12-year-old Mark Wilkinson, grandson of Mr and Mrs Leo Davy, won every event which he contested. Included in these events were the swimming and running championships and the magnificent Beattie Trophy for the steeplechase.

Two brothers who had not seen each other for 21 years met again in Gisborne recently. They are Mr Reg. Parsons, 12 Manuka Street (left), who was host to brother Charley who lives in Matamata.
