Power Board Opening: The new threestorey, 30,880 sq. ft. Poverty Bay Power Board building was officially opened recently. The Minister of Electricity, Mr T. P. Shand, performed the ceremony in the presence of a large crowd.

Solomon Islands Wonderland: This exhibition was on display in town for a week under the direction of Mr Reg. Williams, one of the country's leading naturalists.

30 Years Old: In the picture below, Mrs J. Wallace, 54 Abbott Street, displays the 30-year-old chocolate egg which her husband bought her prior to their marriage at Easter in 1936.
