Successful Sportsmen's Dinner

The presence of three notable sportsmen as guest speakers, the raising of £300, and the attendance of 150 Gisborne sportsmen ensured success for the Crippled Children Society's Sportsmen's Dinner. The function was held in the Midway Surf Club's pavilion and the guest speakers were Murray Halberg, Wilson Whineray and Keith Hancox.
