"Midway Midgets"

A group of young Midway Surf Life-saving Club members (known as Midway's Midgets), eager to train in the art of saving lives, but too young to be qualified surfers, have been training during the summer under the supervision of senior members Stuart Carter and Kevin Boggs.

Two weeks ago, having attained the required age of fourteen years, the boys sat and passed their bronze and surf medallions, and in so doing became fully qualified juniors.
