Marathon

A big field pushed the pace in the Gisborne Harrier Club's annual 26 mile marathon race on a recent Saturday morning.

First man home, Graham Thomas, chopped almost 14 minutes off the club record with a time of 2h 38m 7s.

He was followed by Francis Yates in second place, and Brian Cochrane, third, all of them finishing within the New Zealand qualifying time of three hours.
