Bank Breakers

Over the past month two men have been busily engaged in breaking a bank in lower Gladstone Road, but they are demolition, not financial, experts.

The men, Messrs Shorty Barker and Len Griffiths, of the East Coast Demolition Company, have taken Loads of good kauri timber from the old A.N.Z. Bank building, which became vacant when the bank moved to its new premises next door.
