Intermediate School 25th Jubilee

Approximately 500 former pupils and staff members of the Gisborne Intermediate School attended its 25th jubilee celebrations during Labour weekend.

The school, which opened in May, 1940, has had five headmasters, all of whom were present at the jubilee.

The official opening and roll call, held in the school's quadrangle, were the highlights of the celebrations.

Other events included a cocktail party, cabaret, combined church service, teenage dance, and a past versus present basketball game.
