Indoor Basketball

In an indoor basketball tournament between Gisborne and Whakatane teams, held in the Y.M.C.A. stadium on a recent Saturday, Gisborne regained the Matenga Shield by winning three of the five games.

The home teams won the men's and women's A grade and the colts games, but lost both the B grade matches.
