Rugby Union Jubilee Dinner

Approximately 60 Poverty Bay Rugby Union officials and presidents of local clubs, and their wives, attended the union's 75th jubilee dinner in the new Rugby Park Grandstand last month.

Among the official guests were the president of the New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr Tom Morrison, of Auckland, and formerly of Gisborne, and the selector of the visiting Hawkes Bay team, Mr Colin le Quesne.

Mr Eric Halstead, a former P.B.R.U. executive and selector now living in Auckland, with Mrs E. McKee, wife of a former secretary, Mr Sam McKee.
