Wairoa-Gisborne Relay

For the second year in succession the Napier A harrier team won the Wairoa to Gisborne relay race, contested this year by a large entry of teams from Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, and Bay of Plenty.

The race was an exciting one, there being only two hundred yards separating the three leading teams at the last baton change.

The Gisborne Harrier Club's annual rally was run in conjunction with the relay and was competed in by large numbers of outside runners.

A feature of the rally was a women's race.
