With the object of improving T.V. reception in Tokomaru Bay, a working bee was organised to prepare a site for a repeater on the hills overlooking the township. A road was bulldozed up to the site, a hut was erected, and power lines and poles were installed. The party is pictured working on the site.
The hut received a coat of paint.

After a recess of seven years, tne Tokomaru Bay Pony Club held a meeting, under the supervision of Mr and Mrs W. B. Jefford, on Mr D. Matahiki's property at Ongaruru. A class is pictured receiving instruction from Mrs Jefford.
