Folk Music Club

For the last six months, a group of folk music enthusiasts have been assembling every second Monday night to sing, listen to, and talk about their favourite form of music.

Calling themselves the Gisborne Folk Music Club, the group was started by two newcomers to Gisborne, Roger Angus and Robin Muir, who put an advertisement in the paper when they discovered that they, and several of their friends, all shared a common interest in the music.

Now the club has a membership of 25, who were all enjoying a good sing-song when Photo News called into one of their meetings at 295 Palmerston Road.
