Carnival Time In Wairoa
Wairoa's annual carnival week once again proved to be a great success, with a wide variety of events providing entertainment for young and old.
Among the activities, some of which are illustrated on these two pages with pictures from Hamilton Studios, were a "Miss East Coast" beauty contest, a procession, water carnival, gala nights, wheelbarrow derbies, pet parades, and a "Queen for a Day" contest run by radio personality John Minty.
