Mrs E. J. Bacon, 22 Walsh Street, sent us this amusing snap of a friend on the beach at Turihau, fishing the easy way. He was sound asleep at the time.

First Prize for this month (at right) is this sparkling study of little Myles Plummer, son of Mr & Mrs N. Plummer, 47 Centennial Crescent. Looks like Wallace Beery is creeping up on us, but we're not afraid of that six-shooter, Myles–at least not with that smile behind it. Photographed by Mr T. Gresham, formerly of Gisborne and now of Taumarunui.
