Indoor Basketball Tourney

Although entries were not up to last year's standard, some first-class play was seen in the annual Queen's Birthday weekend indoor basketball tournament at the Army Hall.

Final of Women's tournament was won by Subs from Y.M.C.A. by 26 to 11. In the men's section, Y.M.C.A. 50 defeated Rotorua 23. Visiting teams included Wellington Rangers and Rotorua.

Teams were entertained at a social in the evening, when the trophies were presented by the Mayor, Mr. H. H. Barker.
