Candle-Lighting Ceremony

A large gathering of representatives of city organisations and members of the Gisborne Business and Professional Women's Club witnessed their annual candle-lighting ceremony, held in the National Party rooms last month.

The ceremony is conducted by branches of the club in many different countries during the month of March.

The ceremony entailed the lighting of a candle for every member nation, for the International Federation, and for the future.
