Tainui 21st Birthday

At their annual Father and Son dinner in the Scout Hall, Carnarvon Street, the Tainui Sea Scout Troop celebrated its 21st birthday.

Two of the troop's first scout masters, Messrs Jim Stevens and Dave Stichbury, cut the birthday cake, the candles of which had been lit by the cub pack's two youngest members, Nigel Atkins and Gavin Bell.

A good muster of scouts and cubs, with their fathers, was present for the occasion.
