Our Cover

Bob Moles, star of the Gisborne Operatic Society's 1964 production of "Where's Charley?", sidles around a shrub in the Botanical Gardens in a typical pose of his impersonation of Charley's Aunt, a rich and lavish lady of the late 19th century. Further pictures of the musical comedy, which opens at the Opera House on Saturday, can be seen on pages 34-37.

Back Cover. A large kowhai tree in the front lawn of Dr J. S. Beedie's surgery and residence in the Esplanade, is pictured in all its glory, heralding the presence of spring with its brilliant yellow flowers.
