One of the oldest shops in Tolaga Bay, owned by H. R. Lawrence, is at present having a face-lift and re-blocking. While work goes on, the shop, with its corrugated iron sheeting, is reminiscent of a ghost town of the old West.

A 21st birthday that was recently celebrated in Tolaga was that of Ross Nicklin, pictured here with his wife prior to cutting the cake.

A large crowd of young people attended an end-of-term-holidays dance in the Parish Hall last month. Four of the guests who enjoyed the evening were, from left: James McGregor, Margo Sheriff, Fay Bartram, and Robert Garnham.
