Past v. Present Tourney

Old students of the Gisborne Boys' High School met present pupils of the school in six different spheres of sport recently for the annual past versus present sports tournament.

The rugby match proved to be the most popular with the spectators, and they were treated to a lively game, the old students team, containing many representative players, emerging the victors over the spirited scholars by 11 points to three.

In the other sports, the old boys proved to be superior in all cases but one, when they were defeated on the soccer field by four goals to three.
