"Miss Industries Fair, 1964"

The chairman of the Jaycees' second Industries Fair, Mr Gus Herkt, pins a £50 note on Miss Ellen Duffin after announcing her as winner of the "Miss Industries Fair" contest on Saturday night. Sponsored by "Photo News", Miss Duffin was selected from 16 entrants by a panel of three judges, headed by Miss N. Coe, of Wellington, N.A.C.'s chief hostess. Along with her prize of £50, Miss Duffin also received a canteen of cutlery donated by the Gisborne Herald. She is the second daughter of Mrs M. E. Duffin, 610 Aberdeen Road, and the late Mr Duffin.
