P.O.W.'s Visit
The Napier branch of the New Zealand Prisoner of War Association paid its biannual visit to Gisborne recently.
During their stay, the P.O.W's played the Gisborne branch at bowls, darts, and cricket, winning the latter to claim the inter-club trophy.
On arrival, the visitors paraded down Gladstone Road to the Coronation Hotel, where they were entertained by members of the local organisation.
Signs in the hotel announced their presence.
