Long Distance Swim
The long-distance race in the H.B.-P.B. swimming championships resulted in a great victory for Napier's 15-year-old Quentin Tod, who swam a strong race to lead his nearest opponent home by several hundred yards.
Held over a three-mile course, from the Yacht Club slipway, out into the bay, and back again, the race drew a large entry of swimmers, most of whom completed the course.
