Illuminated Address

Pictured here is the illuminated address presented on behalf of the City of Gisborne to the Governor-General, Sir Bernard Fergusson, on the occasion of his first official visit to the district last month. Those with good eyes might be able to read the message, which is signed by the Mayor and Town Clerk. The art work was done by Mr W. A. Phipps.
