Members of the gang of 40 Lytton High School boys who volunteered their services to clean up Waikanae Beach promenade and frontage after a request made by the Public Relations Officer, pictured busy at work.

A motor-scooter with plenty of sting was seen in Gladstone Road recently when a swarm of bees settled on it.

The boys relax from their toil and enjoy a soft drink, donated to them by the Eastern Bottling Company for their fine effort.
