Collecting Dolls Is Her Hobby

A hundred beautifully dressed dolls, ranging from large life-like queens to minute fairies, adorn the home of Mrs A. Single, of Konini Street.

Mrs Single, who has been collecting seriously for about three years, dresses all the dolls herself. One of her most prized possessions is a small wooden doll 150 years old.

Recently, she has entered her works in competitive doll shows outside the district, and has claimed major prizes both at Auckland and Palmerston North.
