Our Cover

Gisborne's Margaret Whitehead, making her debut as a professional model with the Gown of the Year show, is seen on our front cover wearing "Fiesta", one of the beautiful gowns entered for the title, It was created by Mrs Mary Benefield, of Wanganui, and came second in the voting. Margaret is currently in Auckland working as a receptionist and model for a clothing and hosiery firm.

Back Cover. A busy day in Gisborne port last month is picturd on our back cover. The Kopara and the Pukeko, their black hulls relieved by the white of the tug Hikurangi, lead the eye to the distant Tanea, which is about to cast off and head for the open sea.
