At The Show
Beautifully fine weather, and a perfect ground, contributed to the resounding success of the Agricultural and Pastural Association's 1963 Spring Show at the Gisborne showgrounds.
With the introduction of several new events, and a Friday carnival night, the show provided its thousands of patrons, many of them colourfully dressed in summer fashions, with a wide variety of entertainment.
Competition in the ring and stock events was of a very high standard this year. In the trade section, many interesting exhibits were to be seen, while in side-show alley, merry crowds thronged the various attractions from start to finish.

In the beautiful fine weather, side-show alley was packed with thrill-seeking customers, some of whom are pictured on this page revelling in the thrills of a dizzy ride on the octopus, ferris wheel, and joy-whizzer.
