"The Student Prince"
The Gisborne Amateur Operatic Society's production of Sigmund Romberg's "The Student Prince", considered by many who saw it to be the society's best effort yet, met with wide acclaim when it took the Opera House stage recently.
Although running for a shorter season than previous productions, it played to continuous capacity houses, requiring an additional performance at the end of the scheduled season.
Produced by Mrs Lynda Hastings, of Hamilton, the show was a delight to both the eye and the ear, with polished performances from all concerned.
